​Westside Children's Center's 22nd Annual Children's Arts Festival

VYC interns partake in Westside Children's Center's Children's Arts Festival to have visiting parents and children and other organization representative learn about Visionary Youth Center, and the various resources we offer.

Loyola Marymount University College Visit

The youth and families of VYC visited Loyola Marymount University (LMU).  They toured the campus and got to inquire students about the campus, education, and specific amenities at LMU. They also watched an LMU men's basketball game during the evening.

VYC Annual Halloween Party

Students and interns took part in the annual Halloween Bash in the community room. The students and interns came dressed up for the occasion. The center had food, entertainment, arts, and crafts in a safe environment.

​Community Safety Conference

VYC participates in the Community Safety Conference sponsored by the USC School of Social Work, the Tri-County Collaborative (Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties) and the Trauma Informed Task Force of Greater Los Angeles.  The goal of the conference was the elevate the voices of community members impacted by community violence.

Youth & Empowerment Night​​ Guest speakers Mr. Frank V. Zerunyan,  Professor at USC, Director of Executive of Education at the USC Price Bedrosian Center on Governance, and Mayor and Councilmember of Rolling Hills Estates, CA, & Ms. Tereza Yerimyan, President of East Hollywood Neighborhood Council and Government Affairs Director at the Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region, presented to parents and youth at VYC about their professional experiences and the importance of community involvement and higher learning.
